As Mani Ratnam's Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan debuted on Thursday, actor-politician Khushbu Sundar and director Sundar C are beaming with pride. Despite their daughter Anandita Sundar quitting her brief stint as an assistant director on the film, Khushbu thanked Mani for giving her credit on Instagram. This is what transpired.

Mani Ratnam receives thanks from Khushbu Sundar

On her Instagram, Khusbu published a photo of the after credits of Thug Life, in which her daughter Anandita is listed as an AD. "As a parent, it fills me with immense pride to see my daughter's name in a Mani Ratnam film as his disciple," she wrote when sharing it. Due to a broken ankle, she was only able to help for a brief period of time.

“But the knowledge she has gathered and what she has learned from Mani Sir is sure to last a lifetime,” she continued. It was a very rewarding experience. I appreciate your generosity and for including her name in the credits, Sir. “Proud sister @anisundar_,” Aarti Ravi, Ravi Mohan's estranged wife, remarked in the comments.

Additionally, fans seemed pleased to see that Anandita had the chance to collaborate with Mani, as evidenced by remarks like, "Proud of you Ani papa," and "Wow...great start indeed. my best wishes." It was even questioned if her style of filmmaking would resemble that of her father or Mani, "Wow... she will direct the film like sunder C comedy Or Mani sir style movies."

Regarding Khushbu Sundar's family

After a few years of dating, Khushbu and Sundar got married in 2000. Avantika and Anandita are their two girls. It appears that Anandita intends to follow in her father's footsteps, while Avantika hopes to pursue a career in acting like her mother did.
