After the passing of Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur, Kareena Kapoor, an actress, used social media to wish her sister Karisma a happy birthday and share a touching message recognizing the difficult circumstances they are now experiencing. Kareena remained optimistic that things would improve and that they would get through this stronger as a unit, even in the face of adversity.

Kareena's message for Karisma

In a charming Instagram post on Wednesday, Kareena paid tribute to her sister Karisma. Karisma is pictured alongside Saif Ali Khan, Kareena's spouse. Wednesday marked Karisma's 51st birthday.

“This is my most favourite picture of you both (heart emoji)... To the strongest and the bestest girl in the universe… It’s been a tough year for us,” Kareena wrote when sharing the picture.

"However, as they say, difficult times don't last, but the hardest sisters do. Happy birthday, My Lolo (heart emoji) @therealkarismakapoor, to my mother, my sister, and my best friend," she continued.

It appears Kareena was alluding to the knife assault on Saif Ali Khan earlier this year as well as the passing of Karisma's ex-husband during the difficult times.

The comment section was flooded with love and birthday wishes for Karisma Kapoor, with friends and family showing their support. Malaika Arora penned a sweet note, "Love u Lolo”, while Sonam Kapoor shared, "Happy birthday Lolo, we love you”.

The Kapoor family is navigating a challenging period. Earlier this year, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder in the early hours of January 16. Businessman Sunjay Kapur, the former husband of actor Karisma, passed away in London on June 12 after reportedly suffering a heart attack while playing polo. Kareena, along with Saif, is supporting Karisma during this time. They were also spotted accompanying her to Delhi for the final rites and prayer meeting.
