After the death of her ex-husband, businessman Sunjay Kapur, Karisma Kapoor was seen in public for the first time when she left Mumbai with her kids to go to his funeral in Delhi.

Sunjay's funeral will be attended by Karisma

Following his death from a heart attack while playing polo in London on June 12, Sunjay's funeral will be held in Delhi on Thursday. Karisma will be at the final rites with Samaira and Kiaan, her kids with Sunjay.

Accompanied by her kids Samaira and Kiaan, Karisma was spotted leaving a private airport in Mumbai on Thursday morning for Delhi.

A white suit is seen on Karisma in a video circulating on social media, while her kid Kiaan is seen wearing a white kurta pyjama. The camera also captures a quick peek of her daughter Samaira, who is wearing a white suit. The three-person family was seen rushing into the airport.

Since the news of her ex-husband Sunjay Kapur's passing, this is the first time Karisma has been seen in public.

Sunjay's funeral arrangements were detailed in a news release released by his family on Wednesday. New Delhi's Lodhi Road Cremation Ground will host his funeral on Thursday at 5 p.m. The announcement comes after several sources suggested that the funeral was postponed due to legal procedures pertaining to his American citizenship.

June 22 was the day of Sunjay's prayer meeting

A prayer gathering is planned for June 22 at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi, between 4 and 5 p.m., according to a note that is now being shared on social media. His mother Rani Surinder Kapur, his wife Priya, Safira, and Azarias all signed the letter. The names of his children with his ex-wife Karisma, Samaira and Kiaan, are also listed in the letter.

While playing polo in England on June 12, Sunjay passed away. According to the first reports, Sunjay, 53, died from a heart attack he had while playing polo. Some accounts later asserted that a bizarre incident involving a bee sting brought about the heart attack. However, the reason for the death is still unknown at this time.

In 2003, Sunjay married Karisma Kapoor. Samaira, 19, and Kiaan, 13, were the couple's two children. Karisma and Sanjay's divorce was granted by mutual agreement in 2014. In 2016, their divorce became official. Sunjay and Priya Sachdev were married in 2017, following their divorce. Azarias is the couple's only child. He was wed to Priya when he passed away.
