Karan Johar’s The Traitors: The Secret Battles and Shadows Beyond the Screen

The real enigmas revolve around the production of The Traitors, the latest reality program on Prime Video, which is filmed inside the beautiful Suryagarh Palace, even if the show's emphasis is on deception and betrayal. The program included 20 well-known personalities, with Karan Johar as the host, and it employed a complicated set of rules to ensure fair competition and keep everything under wraps.

Here’s a breakdown of what went down before filming even began:

Secrecy Was Paramount

An NDA was signed by every individual involved in the study. They were not allowed to talk about their role, the show's structure, or its development. The objective was to ensure that there would be no spoilers for the audience.

Players Were Kept in the Dark—Literally

No one else was aware of the other contenders. They eventually ran into the other members of their cast after entering the palace. People were even flown in separately to further stop any possible alliances or interaction before the show.

Casting Was Determined by Psychology, Not Simply Fame

The selection procedure included a variety of interviews and personality assessments. Testing players' emotional intelligence, stress tolerance, deceitfulness, and inclination to manipulate others were among the requirements that were crucial to the game's framework.

No player input during game setup

The players had no say in the game's design and could only take part. The producers and Karan Johar selected the traitors without consulting the contestants.

Complete Seclusion Prior to and During Filming

Players had to spend a whole day in solitude before the game began as soon as they arrived. The use of phones and other devices for communication with the outside world was prohibited. A strict no-personal-money-or-devices rule was in place. They kept no contact at all throughout their time on the program.

Separate Accommodation and Strict Monitoring

The players deliberately kept their rooms apart, even though they shared the same palace. The rooms were separated and peepholes were installed in the doors to prevent any unintentional encounters. To avoid any off-camera interaction, each player was assigned a crew member, or "shadow," who followed them around.

No Expert Grooming Permitted

This reality program differed from others in that it did not provide the contestants with glamour teams. They were in charge of their own grooming, hair, and cosmetics.

Solo Strategy Time

Players had just one choice: solo strategy sessions. They received only a rulebook, a few notepads, pictures of other candidates, and nothing else. In the absence of external interference, this setup aims to maximize player agency.

The Game Starts

The Traitors India, which stars Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed, promises a reality program that mixes psychological warfare with complete unpredictability.

Starting today with the launch, new episodes will be released on Prime Video every Thursday at 8 PM.
