On May 25, filmmaker Karan Johar turned 53. Through their Instagram Stories, a number of performers sent him their best wishes. However, Karan posted a new video on his Instagram account on Thursday in which he questioned his children Yash and Roohi about why they hadn't given him any presents on his birthday. His children hilariously teased his selfie skills.

What Yash and Roohi said

"It was my birthday and I didn't get anything from either of you!" said Karan as he aimed the camera towards Yash and Roohi. Roohi added to this by pointing out that she had created a flower out of colored paper and said, "I got you this!" Karan acknowledged it and said, "Oh yes you made it so lovely, thank you Roohi!" Meanwhile, Yash mentioned that he gave him kisses and hugs.

Karan inquired about what they intend to give him the following year. In response to this, Yash stated, "I think you need new clothes and a new wardrobe!" Roohi chimed in, "We think you should stop taking selfies." Yash continued, mimicking the pout that Karan makes in his selfies, "First, stop doing that face!" At this, Karan let out a toodles! and seemed taken aback. "Can you believe the in house trolls?" Karan wrote in the caption.

The post received smiling face emojis from Mini Mathur, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anaita Shroff Adajania, and Rasha Thadani.

The world premiere of Karan's co-production Homebound was recently held at the Un Certain Regard portion of the Cannes Film Festival. Nine minutes of applause followed the release of the Neeraj Ghaywan picture. Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa are among the cast members of the movie.

In February 2017, Karan's son Yash and daughter Roohi were born through surrogacy. Roohi is an anagram of his mother Hiroo's name, and he gave Yash his late father Yash Johar's name.
