Karan Johar, who is well-known for his blockbuster movies as well as his unashamed humor, recently offered a humorous and insightful glimpse into Bollywood's WhatsApp groups. The filmmaker responded in a characteristically telling way when asked if he would ever think about turning the discussions from these private conversations into a book or a film.
WhatsApp groups in Bollywood are discussed by Karan Johar
A happy member of the audience told Barkha Dutt during a chat for the Mojo Story that Karan must be a member of the coolest WhatsApp groups in Bollywood. After that, the audience member questioned if he would ever consider writing a book or directing a film on those talks.
The issue caught Karan off guard, but he responded, "I believe we would have to relocate to London if someone ever gained access to those WhatsApp groups about me and many of my friends in the fraternity. We might not be able to stay in our city."
Known to be a key personality in the social circles of the Hindi film business, Karan stated that the talks within these groups are not at all censored.
"Since, let me tell you, they provide a very open, honest, and sometimes quite bitchy assessment of our immediate surroundings and current events. We review movies, we review fashion. We are critical of every aspect of that organization. Karan said, "We all have opinions, and none of us can ever express those opinions publicly."
