The Labubu craze is spreading around the world, and it has now entered filmmaker Karan Johar's home. Through his daughter Roohi, the producer used Instagram to share a hilarious yet insightful peek into the Labubu craze that was taking over his house.
Karan posted a charming conversation about Labubu dolls he had with his daughter Roohi on his Instagram account on Sunday. In the video, Roohi is holding her Labubu doll close as Karan teases her about the popular trend. "Roohi, are you sure you want to follow this trend?" he queries.
"It's not a trend, it's my friend," the six-year-old replies, displaying her trademark sass and self-assurance. "Oh God, alright," Karan says, taken aback but laughing, plainly aware that he cannot win this debate. "Can't argue with that, can I?? #LabubuTakeover," he wrote as the caption for the picture.
The reaction of friends and supporters
Karan's amusing video elicited responses from fans on social media as well as acquaintances in the industry. "Lawhoboo?" said Ishaan Khatter, an actor. Maheep Kapoor, who is a reality television celebrity and Shanaya Kapoor's mother, responded with heart emojis. In the meantime, actress Sophie Choudhry supported Roohi, adding, "Well said, Roohi." "Aww she is soo adorable. God bless," one admirer said. "She's growing up so pretty," said another admirer. "Ye log hamesha aapko daat te kyu rehte hain (Why are they always scolding Karan)?," one supporter joked.
The most recent venture of Karan
Currently, Karan Johar is hard at work promoting his most recent film, Dhadak 2, which features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. Karan spoke candidly about the film and said how proud he was of its message. He said that the film explores a topic that is pertinent to society and portrays the brutal realities of today's world.
"It's a story that makes you wake up and think," Karan stated, noting that the subject is applicable everywhere, not just in small towns. "It takes time for these things to happen. They don't occur in a single day. For this reason, censorship and other procedures must be respected. It took time, as does every worthwhile thing.
