Earlier this year, in February, lyricist Javed Akhtar and actor-MP Kangana Ranaut reached a happy conclusion in their defamation cases against one another. After settling the legal issues, Javed has now disclosed in a recent interview with The Lallantop if he is still in contact with Kangana and communicates with her.

Javed stated, "Haa, matlab ussi din court mein mili thi jis din woh ek apology judge ke saamne likh ke de di..." when discussing his relationship with Kangana. Signed us. In July 2020, Javed filed a complaint against Kangana, claiming that she had ruined his "immaculate reputation" by bringing up his name in connection with the demise of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput during a news channel interview. Later, she lodged a cross-complaint against Javed, accusing him of criminal intimidation and offensive behavior. In February, they settled their dispute, and Kangana posted a cheerful photo to her Instagram Stories.
