Kalpika claims that she and a physically handicapped buddy went to the bar, where they were "verbally abused" and "mocked" for requesting a "common birthday courtesy," as she put it in a message she reposted to her Instagram stories. She also asserts that the argument resulted from the management "throwing a brownie on the table like trash." According to Kalpika, she was detained in the pub for half an hour while being verbally assaulted by twenty individuals. She claims that when she called the Gachibowli police, they treated her like a "criminal" and sided with the administration. The problem for the performer, she says, was not the cake but rather the 'dignity' that she was denied.

The management can be heard requesting that she pay the bill and not "spoil" her birthday. They go so far as to claim that she is causing a scene in order to avoid paying the bill. After chastising them for mismanaging, she even smashes and throws the bill.

She also has access to a longer 40-minute film that is accessible to her Instagram followers. The channel claims that the pub management used vulgar language, treated Kalpika as an object, and referred to her as a "druggist." According to reports, the actor requested a free brownie since it was her birthday, but the owner and staff allegedly scolded her for her attire and for being in a bar at midnight. Kalpika allegedly stood her ground and said she would only pay the bill once they apologized. The authorities have filed a case, and the inquiry is currently underway.
