Kajol is occupied with promoting her upcoming mythological horror movie, Maa. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress admitted that she had rejected a lot of movies that later became box office successes. Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor's 3 Idiots was a prime illustration of this.

What did Kajol say about rejecting 3 Idiots?

Kajol added that she doesn't put much thought into it and that she finds it really simple when asked how she deals with refusing people or any project. "3 Idiots" is a prime example of this, as are many other films. I believe that those movies belonged to them; as the saying goes, "What is written will happen; it was destined to star those very actors only." Therefore, I think I have done quite well for myself without them.

On collaborating with SRK once more

Kajol was also questioned in the same exchange about her desire to work with Shah Rukh Khan in a mature love story. "Yes, absolutely! I would like to see a movie like that." Why not? Shah Rukh can undoubtedly be advised of it as well. But we will see.” Shah Rukh and Kajol have appeared in numerous legendary movies, such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Vishal Furia directed Kajol's upcoming film, Maa. Kajol is portrayed as a ferocious, protective mother battling to rescue her daughter from the grip of demons. Indraneil Sengupta, Ronit Roy, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma also appear in Maa, which will be released in theaters on June 27.
