Kajol Relates to Her K3G Role, Shares Joyful Moments Cheering for Nysa and Yug at School Events

Kajol, the actress, has spoken about the kind of mother she is to her children, Nysa Devgn and Yug. In an interview with Screen, Kajol disclosed that, in reality, she is very similar to Anjali, the character she played in the 2001 movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, who is a mother. Kajol revealed that even in real life, she applauded and gave standing ovations to Nya and Yug's performances.

In a scene in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kajol's character cheered and whistled as her son Krish Raichand (Jibraan Khan) appeared on stage. Kajol responded when asked if she is similar to the role, saying, "I am! And trust me, my kids are really embarrassed by it." My children react far more seriously to that than that unfortunate youngster ever did (laughs). During each of Yug's musical and Nysa's stage performances, where she's surrounded by 15 other girls, I've stood up and simply clapped. She merely (indicates her to sit down and not embarrass her).

Kajol also stated that she shared many traits with her persona in Helicopter Eela (2018). "I was definitely a helicopter mom, but not anymore." My kids are all grown up now, and if I try to be one, they'll kill me," she continued. Kajol portrays a single mother who is excessively protective of her son Vivan (played by Riddhi Sen) in the film Helicopter Eela.

In 1999, Kajol wed actor Ajay Devgn. They are the parents of Nysa, who was born in 2003, and Yug, who was born in 2010.

The last time Kajol appeared in a Netflix movie was with Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh in Do Patti. The movie is directed by newcomer Shashanka Chaturvedi. Her next role will be in Maa, a mythological horror film helmed by Vishal Furia. The film depicts a mother transforming into Goddess Kali in order to put an end to a demonic curse that is based on fear, blood, and treachery. Indraneil Sengupta, Kherin Sharma, and Ronit Roy also appear in Maa, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27.

Kajol will also appear in the upcoming action-thriller Maharagni-Queen of Queens, which is directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati and stars Naseeruddin Shah, Prabhu Deva, Jisshu Sengupta, Aditya Seal, and Pramod Pathak. Additionally, she has Karan Johar's upcoming home production Sarzameen in the works, as well as the second season of her series The Trial.
