Jim Curtis, who is said to be Jennifer Aniston's lover, has been battling a health problem that he has been hiding for a while. According to the Daily Mail, the 49-year-old was recently seen on vacation with Aniston.

Curtis discussed in prior interviews how a chronic illness has impacted his lifestyle since he was 19. He claimed that a persistent health problem has caused him to have severe irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). He said in a 2018 interview that he experienced throbbing symptoms frequently when working in high-pressure environments, such as on Wall Street. But he didn't tell his friends about his health problems. Because he had been in a motorbike accident, he pretended to walk with a limp or appear sick.

“I had IBS, and accidents happened a lot,” Curtis said to Fast Company. “It was humiliating, especially during business trips through crowded airports.”

Even though medical professionals at prestigious institutions like Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic were unable to determine the underlying reason right away, Curtis forged ahead with courage. He went back to school and worked in health sales and publishing, but for the most part, he kept his condition a secret.

When a boss encouraged Curtis to share his problems, it marked the turning point in his life. After that, Curtis started educating himself in hypnosis, creating wellness programs, and writing books on self-help. Among his clients were Chrissy Teigen and Miranda Kerr.

Curtis now uses his experience to assist others. "Through hypno-realizations, I've helped thousands change their lives," he stated.

What constitutes irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)?

The Mayo Clinic states that "Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common condition that affects the stomach and intestines, also known as the gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms include cramping, belly pain, bloating, gas, and diarrhea or constipation, or both. IBS is a chronic illness that requires continuous treatment.

According to the website, very few IBS patients really experience significant symptoms. By controlling stress, lifestyle, and diet, individuals can frequently manage their symptoms.

According to the website, "More-severe symptoms can be treated with medicine and counseling. IBS does not cause changes in bowel tissue or increase the risk of colorectal cancer."
