Javed Akhtar Reveals Zoya Is Stricter Than Farhan on Set: ‘Both Make Very Different Films’

In his decades-long career in Bollywood, lyricist Javed Akhtar has collaborated with a number of filmmakers and produced a large body of work. During an interview with The Lallantop, Javed was questioned about his experiences collaborating with his kids, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, on their respective movies. When with them, it's never simple, as Javed honestly revealed.

When asked which of the two is a harder taskmaster throughout the exchange, Javed replied, "Dusro ke liye kaam karna asan hain apne bachho ke liye bada mushkil hain. Our father is not like that we shouldn't say anything. We don't have anything to say. "Zoya is the strict taskmaster. She will say something. Because I am their father, they will not spare me. It is simpler to deal with others than with my own children."

He continued by pointing out how unlike their films are. "They are both intelligent and make films of different genres. They aren't typical." Farhan's films, like the ones Zoya produces, are not possible. Farhan cannot create the same kind of Zoya. Their schools are undoubtedly distinct. They are both doing well (The two of them know their work and produce different films. They are rare. Farhan's films are not the type that Zoya can produce, and vice versa. There is no doubt that they attended various institutions.
With Ranveer Singh, Farhan is prepared to create Don 3. In the meanwhile, Zoya co-produced the docu-series Angry Young Men, which was inspired by Salim-Javed, and the feature picture Superboys of Malegaon. Netflix's The Archies was her most recent work as a director.
