Punjabi vocalist Jasbir Jassi has defended Diljit Dosanjh, criticizing the public's double standards as the controversy around Diljit's co-starring alongside Hania Aamir in his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3 continues to intensify.

He thinks it's unfair to single out artists for cross-border collaborations when many Indian films "use stolen Pakistani music."

Diljit is supported by Jasbir Jassi.

In the midst of the current uproar, Jasbir spoke out in Diljit's defense during an interview with NDTV.

"I'm witnessing how Diljit Dosanjh and his film are being targeted by demonstrations on social media since the movie also features a Pakistani artist," he said. I value the idea that we should support our country and love it. However, what accounts for this disparity in standards? If you wish to prohibit Pakistani performers from singing, acting, or working in Indian films, you want to do so. However, 80% of our industry's songs, whether they are the lyrics, the melody, or the entire song, have been stolen. The artists of that nation have performed so many of the songs in our movies...So, why the double standards?

"Either remove all those tracks from YouTube, Spotify, and other digital platforms. However, you shouldn't choose a single artist and begin to demonstrate against them in this manner. It's similar to someone bringing food or treats to your home, and then you start referring to them as the enemy while continuing to consume the goods or desserts they brought with them. Ban (Pakistani artists) entirely if you want to outlaw them. The singer continued, "Get all that content released across the world."

Regarding Sardaar Ji, 3 stirs

The inclusion of Hania Aamir in Diljit's Sardaar Ji 3 has caused a great deal of controversy among the whole cast. Neeru Bajwa also appears in the film, which is not being released in India. It is scheduled for its international premiere on June 27. The dispute occurs after the recent Pahalgam terrorist incident on April 22, which was followed by India's Operation Sindoor on May 7, in which Pakistani and Pakistani-occupied Kashmiri terrorist targets were hit by aerial strikes.

Diljit and all of his upcoming ventures have been urged to be banned by the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), while singer Mika Singh has said that Diljit should apologize.
