Veteran actor Jackie Shroff recently shared his touching experience working on the upcoming film Tanvi The Great during its trailer launch. He played Brigadier Joshi and called the project more than just a movie; it was a “soul-cleansing” experience that impacted him deeply.

He also expressed strong gratitude towards Anupam Kher, who not only cast him but also directed the film. Jackie revealed that a moment hit him hard when he first heard the film's music. He said, “When Anupam Kher called me and I listened to the song by M.M. Keeravani, it made us cry. I don’t cry often, maybe only on my pillow.” The music and story struck a chord with him, creating a real emotional connection.

Jackie praised Anupam Kher’s dedication as both actor and director. “Anupam took good care of me on set. I didn’t come from a formal acting school, but I learned a lot from him—small details and tricks I never knew before. Anyone wanting to learn acting should watch him. He is a beautiful actor and a talented director,” he said warmly.

The film tells the story of Tanvi Raina, a young woman with autism who wants to fulfill her late father’s dream. She aims to salute the Indian flag at Siachen Glacier. The cast includes Anupam Kher, Shubhangi Dutt, Boman Irani, Arvind Swami, and others. Scheduled for release on July 18, 2025, Tanvi The Great looks like it will be a heartfelt film that stays with viewers. Based on Jackie’s words, it’s clear this movie will make a strong impression.
