Many movie sequels, including No Entry 2, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and others, have been making headlines. A report now mentioned that Dishoom 2 was also a possibility. The movie at issue is a follow-up to Dishoom (2016), which stars John Abraham and Varun Dhawan. Akshay Kumar is expected to be cast alongside Varun and John in the sequel.

An update on Dishoom 2

The Dishoom sequel has been overdue for several years, according to Filmfare. The group that produced the 2016 blockbuster has been wanting to make this movie for a while, but their intention to go bigger and bolder didn't come to fruition. Things, however, appear to be falling into place now that Akshay Kumar has agreed to be a part of the sequel, according to the insider.

Rohit Dhawan, Varun Dhawan's brother, directed Sajid Nadiadwala's Dishoom. The source went on to state that the crew of Rohit, Varun, John, and Akshay have worked together to create an intriguing action movie for the audience, but Rohit's role in the film is still up in the air. Nevertheless, we anticipate receiving a formal statement shortly.

Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 5 will star Akshay Kumar. The ensemble includes, among others, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Chunky Pandey, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri. The trailer was just released and received a lot of attention.

Priyadarshan directed Bhooth Bangla, which also features Akshay. In addition to Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, and Mithila Palkar, the movie also features them. It will be available to the public on April 2, 2026.

The movie Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Border 2 with Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, are among Varun Dhawan's upcoming projects. David Dhawan, his father, directed the comedy picture Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, in which he also stars.

On the other hand, John Abraham just starred in the political thriller The Diplomat. Netflix has the movie available for streaming.
