According to TMZ, which cited sources, the well-known singer of "Pretty Little Baby," Connie Francis, has been admitted to a hospital in Florida. The 87-year-old iconic performer is now in the intensive care unit and is receiving care, the report stated.

According to TMZ, Connie Francis has experienced some orthopedic health problems during the last several years. But according to family sources, the precise cause of her ICU hospitalization is still unknown to the media.

In March 2025, Francis posted on Facebook that she was using a wheelchair to protect a "troublesome painful hip" while she waited for stem cell treatment.

Since her retirement in 2018, Francis has had major health problems, such as a hip ailment that has restricted her mobility. Following nasal surgery in the 1970s, she had numerous hospitalizations for misdiagnosed mental disease and lost her voice for seven years.

PTSD and depression resulted from a 1974 rape at knifepoint, which led to an attempted suicide in 1984 and mandatory psychiatric admissions. Her mental well-being was made worse by a miscarriage and the murder of her brother by mob hitmen.

In 2025, Francis's 1962 B-side, "Pretty Little Baby," became a TikTok hit, appearing in more than 17 million videos that have received 27 billion views. It peaked at No. 67 on Spotify's Global Top 100 and No. 1 on TikTok's Viral 50. The song's streams in the US increased from 17,000 to 2.4 million each week thanks to its usage by celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

"It's thrilling that kindergarten kids know my name," said Connie Francis when she joined TikTok to express her gratitude to her followers, having forgotten to record the song.

The first woman to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 was an 87-year-old with the song "Everybody's Somebody's Fool" (1960). With hits including "Stupid Cupid" and "Where the Boys Are," she sold more than 200 million albums worldwide.
