Genelia D'Souza has discussed lengthy working hours and how she manages her personal and professional lives. Genelia told Zoom that she puts in 10 hours a day at work and that it's "tough but not impossible." Her remark follows a discussion about actors' work-life balance that was triggered by Deepika Padukone's alleged departure from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit over the latter's refusal to agree to an eight-hour shift.

Genelia stated that the film's director has lengthened the shooting process to 12 hours while working, which she considers to be "fair." She remarked, "It is tough but it is not impossible." I often work 10 hours a day, and there are times when the director requests that I extend it to 11 or 12 hours. I believe it's reasonable, but we simply need time to implement those changes. It's also a comprehension and a procedure that must be followed when you have a day or two when you have to go above and beyond.

What was Deepika's alleged request to leave Vanga's Spirit?

Following Deepika's departure from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, reports surfaced claiming that he denied some of her requests, such as an eight-hour workday, a percentage of the film's earnings, and the use of Telugu dialogue. The performer received support from many famous people, such as Neha Dhupia, Ajay Devgn, and Mani Ratnam. Deepika, who had just joined Atlee's Telugu film with Allu Arjun, was soon replaced by Triptii Dimri.

Regarding Genelia's forthcoming movie

Genelia will next be seen in Aamir Khan's forthcoming sports comedy-drama, Sitaare Zameen Par. The film, directed by RS Prasanna, features ten newcomers—Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar—and is scheduled to hit theatres exclusively on June 20.
