Govinda Missing Out on Quality Work Due to Sycophants, Says Sunita Ahuja

Govinda, who was formerly one of the most well-known actors of the 1990s with legendary films like Raja Babu and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, has been noticeably missing from the big screen for the past few years. His wife Sunita Ahuja candidly discussed the causes for his extended break from movies in an interview with The Powerful Humans, citing a bad inner circle and his unwillingness to adjust to shifting times as the reason for his career fall.

Sunita expressed her opinion that Govinda is mistaken to live solely in the present and ignore the future. She said that instead of living in the 1990s, Govinda should make plans for the future and choose the kinds of movies he should be producing.

She also asked, "Why hasn't Govinda been on the big screen for the last 17 years?" Because the circle around him is entirely incorrect. Everyone is making wah-wah noises. Because I am unable to lie or flatter, I sometimes have disputes with Govinda as well. It has a writer, a secretary, and a friendly lawyer, all of which are useless. because all you have to do is say wow. Bhaiya, wah chi chi, you have accomplished something amazing. Tell the truth, Abey. They are all people who just keep praising him blindly. I even argue with Govinda because I'm unable to lie or cajole others. He currently has a writer, a secretary, and someone who pretends to be a close friend, all of whom are worthless. All they say is, "Wah chi chi bhaiya, what a brilliant job you've done!" I mean, come on, at least tell him the truth. He's still annoyed by my honesty, though.

Govinda should adjust to the changing times, according to Sunita Ahuja.

I told him, the 1990s are over, Sunita said. The year is currently 2025. Consider the success of Netflix and OTT services right now. He's trapped in his "Wah-Wah Productions" bubble. "I told him to change the people around him, because as long as those four or five people are with him, they won’t let him grow. David (Dhawan) echoed this sentiment. Someone who consistently produced hits in the 1990s begins to think, "I'll make solo-hero movies, and they'll work." However, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" was not a solo-hero film, nor was "Aankhen". This legend was implanted into his mind by the folks around him: 'Sir, you are Hero.' Your movie will surely succeed as number one! However, where do solo-hero movies function in the modern world? Only when you have a compelling protagonist and a competent director will it succeed.

In the comedy movie Rangeela Raja, which was written and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani and directed by Sikander Bharti, Govinda made his last appearance. Govinda played two roles in the movie, which also starred Mishika Chourasia and Anupama Agnihotri, but it was a flop at the box office. He hasn't made a big screen appearance since then.
