Bengali television TRP suffered this week once again. There is full-blown excitement over the General Elections on one hand, and the IPL, on the other. All of this together affected the TRP of the Bengali serials. The topper position has also been frequently changing. 

For the last few weeks, Phulki has been the topper. But Parna of Neem Phuler Madhu has a daughter and it changed the picture. The serial, getting 7.9, is the Bengal topper this week. Isha again took an entry in the serial. Hence Rubel and Pallabi might be the dark horse in the coming weeks. 

Phulki scored 7.6 and is in the second posiction. Jagaddhatri is the third, getting 7.3. Kon Gopone Mon Bheseche, with 6.9 is the fourth. Thus, Zee Bangla has the top four positions. All these four serials stream on Zee5 and one can watch it on OTTplay Premium. Star Jalsa’s serial Geeta LLB is in the fifth position. 

Astami, which started recently and deals with spirituality, did not get a good opening. This is another supernatural mega after Gouri Elo. Hopefully, its rating will improve within a few weeks. Ritabrata Dey and Saptarshi play the protagonists here and Koushik Chakraborty plays a negative role. 

Many serials’ slots changed due to Astami, which replaced Zee’s Kar Kache Koi Moner Kotha which replaced Mithijhora. Rai-Nilu-Shourya’s story time moved thirty minutes back. Now they contest the serial Haragouri Pice Hotel. Kar Kache Koi Moner Kotha is contesting with Anurager Chnoa.

There are several twists and turns in Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasa, which keep the serial in the top ten. Astami is the ninth and Badhua is the tenth.
