Gaami's success will pave way for many new age writers in Telugu cinema, says Vishwak Sen

Gaami is Vishwak Sen's long-delayed film which is all set to hit the screens on March 8, 2024. The fantasy drama has been in the making for over six years now and deals with the subject of Aghoras. Vishwak Sen will be seen as an Aghora in the film and he has pinned a lot of hopes on this project as his performance is going to be one of the highlights of the film.

Vishwak Sen on Gaami

Speaking about the film, Vishwak says if Gaami becomes a big hit, more directors will choose to write off-beat films in Telugu cinema which are a rarity. The makers have dreamt big about this and have spent a lot on the film. Not many know that Gaami started as a crowd-funded film. "We started with a budget of Rs 80 crore and now Gaami has become this huge project thanks to the support of UV Creations. They have backed the film big time and are giving it a grand release" says Vishwak Sen.

Vishwak Sen's remuneration for Gaami

Not many know but Vishwak Sen has not taken any remuneration for the film. When asked about the same he says, "Gaami's script impressed me a lot. During the time of the launch, the makers were facing some issues. As I loved my role, I decided not to take any pay for the film and give my support to the makers".

The news in the film circles is that Vishwak Sen will take a share in the profits of the film. Vidhyadhar Kagita has directed this film and Vishwak has great things to say about the young filmmaker. "Vidya has been with Gaami for over nine years now. He worked on the subject for four years and shot the film for close to five years now," says Sen.

Gaami has some great visuals, the best in recent times as per the actor. The team shot in extreme and live locations of Varanasi, Ladakh, and the Himalayas. Gaami is the story of an Aghora who is forced to live a normal life in public. The film has a great thriller, and the twists will shock the audience says the young actor.

Gaami is releasing alongside yet another biggie Bheema which stars Gopichand in a lead role. This film also has a semi-fantasy angle and has created a solid buzz before its release. We need to see if Gaami lives up to all the hype created or not. Zee 5 has bagged the OTT rights to this film. Watch this space for more.
