The challenging aftermath of the lackluster box office performance of her 2010 movie Tees Maar Khan has been discussed by director and choreographer Farah Khan, who disclosed that some members of the film industry openly rejoiced at the flop.
The movie Tees Maar Khan's failure is discussed by Farah
Farah revealed honest reminiscences in her most recent YouTube vlog, which was shot at the residence of Rakul Preet Singh and producer Jackky Bhagnani. Dilip, her longtime chef, and Jackky were among the people she spoke to. Farah pondered the unfavorable reaction from industry insiders after the release of the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif-starring picture, as the conversation shifted to career setbacks.
“In our industry, people are more delighted by the failure of others than they are by your success. I recall a genuine celebration in the film industry when Tees Maar Khan was released. According to Farah, the people she had previously collaborated with were using phrases like "Ab aayi na line pe" (Now she's been put in her place).
Despite the initial negative response, Farah said that Tees Maar Khan has been revived among a younger demographic. "Gen Z adores Tees Maar Khan; they are indifferent to my other movies. According to Farah, "They believe that (Tees Maar Khan) is the one."
Jackky also discussed the commercial failure of his 2024 movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and how he found motivation in the tenacity of his father, producer Vashu Bhagnani. Jackky recounted how his father formerly made a name for himself in Bollywood by selling sarees on the sidewalk.
Concerning Tees Maar Khan
With the help of number-one songs like Sheila Ki Jawani, Tees Maar Khan, a heist comedy that was released in 2010, generated a lot of buzz. The movie, however, received unfavorable reviews and failed to do well in theaters, much to the dismay of viewers and the film's ensemble cast.
