Tere Ishk Mein is yet another love drama that reunites actor Dhanush with Aanand L Rai. The film's initial image of the actor showed him sporting a thick beard and long hair. However, fans are now unable to remain calm due to a fresh look from the set that has appeared online, suggesting that he may be portraying an IAF officer.

Dhanush was seen in Tere Ishk Mein's set photos, which were shared by an X user. The images show him with a mustache and shorter hair. With the name tag bearing the name "Shankar," he is pictured wearing an Indian Air Force uniform. The images elicited a prompt response from the crowd. After seeing the look, some people were reminded of Hardik Pandya, the cricketer, while others believed he seemed leaner and more powerful.

“Looks like Hardik Pandya,” one of the remarks said. "Bro, that's Hardik Pandya," said one. "Is he somewhat muscular, or is it due to the suit he's wearing?" one other supporter asked. However, in my opinion, he still looked fantastic. "He looks good," another person wrote.

The actor looks nothing like what was presented at the film's premiere. With his shoulder-length hair and thick beard, Dhanush looked grittier and more intense in the announcement video. In the video, Dhanush is seen smoking while carrying a Molotov cocktail in his hand as he sprints toward a wall. Glass broke all around him as he ran down a road at night. "Pichli baar toh Kundan tha, maan gaya. Par iss baar Shankar ko kaise rokoge?" Dhanush could be heard saying toward the conclusion of the video, alluding to his role in Raanjhanaa. (Last time it was Kundan, who accepted his fate. But how will you stop Shankar this time?)

Helmed by Aanand L Rai, the film's story, dialogues, and screenplay have been penned by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. The film is produced by Himanshu. Aanand has roped in A.R. Rahman for music and Irshad Kamil for lyrics. Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role and is scheduled for release in 2026.
