With their first film, Saiyara, Ahan Panday and Aneet Padda have ignited the box office. The ardent romance has captivated young admirers around the nation, with some even going to the movies with IV drips.
An avid follower of Saiyaara
On Reddit, a video has surfaced showing a guy with an IV line in his hand watching a performance of Saiyaara. As he wipes away a tear, his buddies film his video. The man may be seen wandering around a desolate road late at night in another video on his Instagram account, with the IV still dangling from his wrist and the Saiyaara title tune playing in the background. In the second video, the man stated that he appeared to be from Satara, Maharashtra.
His 'behavior' made netizens cringe. "Bhai bimar h tu Allha ko yaad kr saiyyara se kaam na chle" (Brother, you are sick. Consider God rather than Saiyaara," said one author. "He left the hospital for this because he was so dedicated to the film."
"Iss generation ke liye pani save karna is not worth it (It’s not worth saving water for this)," one Redditor wrote. Another person said, "For this reason, I try to take a shower whenever I can."
"The future of Indian youth is bleak," a Redditor proclaimed.
In theaters where Mohit Suri's most recent movie is being shown, there are increasingly more videos of viewers screaming, sobbing, and passing out.
Concerning Saiyaara
The producers announced on Saturday that Saiyaara, starring newbie Ahaan Panday, made 21.25 crore rupees at the Indian box office on its first day of theatrical release. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by YRF, has received favorable reviews from reviewers and viewers alike. Aneet Padda, who has previously appeared in the web series Big Girls Don't Cry and the Kajol-starring movie Salaam Venky, is also featured in the cast.
On Friday, the picture was released in cinemas.
The production banner stated, "YRF & Mohit Suri's Saiyaara made history with its debut film in India, earning 21.25 crore on Day 1."
The producers of "Saiyaara," which was released in 8,000 theaters, claim it had the largest opening day ever for a debutant-led picture, the best opening day of Suri's career as a director, and the biggest opening day for a love tale.
"Achieved all this without any traditional publicity and marketing approach, without the actors being exposed to public scrutiny, and with zero interviews, zero city visits, no reels, no influencer content, and no visibility. Only the power of strong content marketed to the entire nation," the statement said.
