A video of actor Fahadh Faasil at the pooja ceremony of Abhinav Sunder Nayak's Mollywood Times, which stars Naslen, has been circulating on social media. Most people seemed captivated by the 'simple' keypad phone he was holding in the video, even though it is uncommon to see the actor at an event. The phone is far from as inconspicuous as it seems.
The Vertu keypad phone that Fahadh Faasil owns
In contrast to the majority of celebrities who go for the newest smartphones, Fahadh stunned many people by using a mobile phone with a keypad. However, that is the limit of its simplicity. "Have you seen Fahad's simple phone?" read the caption of a video of Fahadh at the event that someone uploaded, in which he is seen answering a call as he exits.
But a closer inspection reveals that Vertu, a manufacturer of luxury handmade mobile phones, is behind the device. The website states that the Vertu Ascent Retro Classic Keypad Phone, which Fahadh seems to be carrying in the video, costs an amazing $11,920 (₹10,22,461). It's conceivable that Fahadh purchased the phone a while back because it was shown as out of stock on the website. The cost of Vertu handsets may reach $500,000 (₹4,29,08,250).
In an interview with Club FM last month, actor Vinay Forrt stated that Fahadh does not own a smartphone. He claimed that Fahadh solely uses a keypad phone and avoids social media sites like Instagram, but he didn't specify the brand. In addition, he said that he would give up using a smartphone once he achieved the same level of fame as Fahadh.
Recent research
In 2024, Fahadh played the roles of Vettaiyan in Tamil, Pushpa 2: The Rule in Telugu, and Aavesham and Bougainvillaea in Malayalam. In addition to Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, Karate Chandran, and Patriot with Mohanlal and Mammootty in Malayalam, he will soon appear in the Tamil film Maareesan. With a film called The Idiot of Istanbul directed by Imtiaz Ali, he is also expected to soon make his Bollywood debut.
