Comedy king Allari Naresh has just dropped a bombshell that has Telugu cinema fans jumping with joy – the much-awaited sequel to his 2012 cult spoof classic Sudigadu is officially in the works! Titled Sudigadu 2, the film promises to deliver twice the laughter, twice the chaos, and a whole lot of playful jabs at today’s biggest PAN-Indian blockbusters.

From Dream to Script: Sudigadu 2 is Happening!

During a recent interview, Allari Naresh confirmed that the team has already begun writing the script for the sequel. “The moment people hear Sudigadu 2, their eyes light up. We know the expectations are sky-high, so we’re making sure it’s double the fun of the first film,” the actor revealed with his trademark grin.

The original Sudigadu famously parodied over 70 Telugu films in one go and became an instant laugh riot. Now, more than a decade later, Naresh and director Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao are ready to take the spoof game to a national level.

Animal, Pushpa 2, and More – No Blockbuster is Safe!

This time, the target is bigger and broader. Allari Naresh teased that Sudigadu 2 will take hilarious digs at recent and upcoming PAN-India giants like Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, and several other massive films that have ruled the box office across languages.

“We’re not restricting ourselves to one industry anymore. Today’s audience watches films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. So the spoofs will reflect that pan-Indian flavor,” Naresh explained. Expect over-the-top action sequences, dramatic slow-motion entries, and intense background scores – all turned into pure comedy gold.

When Can We Expect Sudigadu 2 on the Big Screen?

Patience, folks! The film is currently in the scripting stage, with the team carefully selecting the best moments from current blockbusters to parody. Allari Naresh revealed that production is most likely to kick off in 2027, meaning we’re looking at a 2028 release if everything goes smoothly.

“We want to take our time and make it perfect. Rushing a project like this would be a crime against comedy,” he laughed.
