The news that Diljit Dosanjh, who was about to enter the world of No Entry 2, had to make a quick exit was among the many actors quitting their roles. Producer Boney Kapoor attempted to calm the numerous rumors. Anees Bazmee has now expressed his opinions on the matter as well. He uttered the following words:

Diljit Dosanjh and Boney Kapoor had a tense disagreement over dates, but Kapoor had made it clear that there were no creative differences between them. The actor and the filmmakers are attempting to resolve their differences, he added.

In contrast, Anees Bazmee maintained a carefree demeanor as he told News18 that events were unfolding as they should. He went on to say that, in his films, he has only collaborated with actors who have been his first choices, and that viewers have frequently believed that the character fits the bill after the film's release (with the most obvious example being Kartik Aaryan taking Akshay Kumar's place in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise).

Prior to the singer-actor's departure from the project, Anees Bazmee remembers their most recent encounter.

"Our previous encounter, which was the second time we had ever met, lasted 10 minutes. Because there was a little back and forth, we were talking about his dates. The director said that he's attempting to figure out his dates, noting that the meeting also included producer Boney Kapoor. Since whatever is meant to happen will happen, and for the best, the director continued, he is not one to offer explanations.

No Entry 2: How Diljit Dosanjh accepted the job

Anees shared that Diljit, a Punjabi singer with aspirations to become a global actor, met the director for 20 minutes and accepted the role without even hearing the entire screenplay, recalling the moment when Diljit joined the cast. Bazmee recalled how Diljit immediately grasped the movie's context, connected the dots in light of No Entry's history, and accepted the role without hesitation.
