The debate over Diljit Dosanjh's involvement in Border 2 was threatened by his work with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), however, has repealed its ban on the actor, allowing Diljit to resume his work on Border 2, due to the intervention of producer Bhushan Kumar.

Diljit's ban is removed by FWICE

FWICE removed the ban on Diljit for his next movie Border 2, according to India Today. After Bhushan Kumar contacted them and made a personal appeal, the association's president, BN Tiwari, stated that they made the choice.

"Yes, the prohibition for this project has been lifted," Tiwari stated. But the choice carries a caution. "So, we have non-cooperation against Diljit continuing," stated filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who is also connected to FWICE. Anyone else who casts him should be ready for repercussions. Any potential financial losses will not be the Federation's responsibility.

Additionally, Ashoke stated that the boycott of the actor will persist for upcoming endeavors.

Just a day after Diljit refuted reports that he was being replaced in Border 2 by posting a behind-the-scenes video of himself filming the war movie, the statement was made.

Diljit's video offers a peek into his day on the set of Border 2. He starts by getting out of his vanity vehicle while wearing his uniform before entering the set to get ready for a dance sequence. Diljit posted the video on Instagram with the caption "BORDER 2."

Around row 3 regarding Sardaar Ji

Following Diljit's collaboration with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, there have been demands for a prohibition on him and his forthcoming projects. On June 27, the movie debuted worldwide. It was not made available in India. India's Operation Sindoor, which included air strikes on terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistani-occupied Kashmir, took place on May 7, after the recent terrorist assault in Pahalgam on April 22.

In the past, FWICE had written to the producers of Border 2 to voice their displeasure with the casting of Diljit Dosanjh in the film. The FWICE expressed its "deeply disappointed" with the casting of Diljit in its letter to Bhushan Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director, T-Series, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta Producers, JP Films, and director Anurag Singh.
