According to Variety, his attorneys addressed the verdict during a brief news conference outside the courthouse.

“Today’s a great victory... It’s a great victory for Sean Combs, it’s a great victory for the jury system. A jury of 12 citizens is all that stands between us and a jail," said Combs' lead counsel, Marc Agnifilo, adding that the jurors "got the situation right—or, certainly, right enough."

Combs was found guilty and is now subject to a potential 20-year prison sentence, but he avoided sex trafficking and racketeering accusations that might have resulted in a life sentence.

Fellow defense counsel Teny Geragos also stated, "Sean Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone." For months, I've been claiming that.

Although Xavier Donaldson, Combs's co-counsel, stated that "the job is not done yet," the defense team declined to address whether they would appeal the judge's rejection of bail. Nicole Westmoreland, Combs's attorney, expressed her gratitude to the media and said she was "proud" of him because he "actually battled for his freedom."

Agnifilo stated that they are "not nearly done fighting" without providing any details, and he continued, "until he walks out of prison a free man to his family," they would not stop fighting.

Following a grueling eight-week trial in which 34 witnesses, including ex-girlfriends and former employees, accused Combs of offenses ranging from kidnapping to arson to rape and physical assault, the jury rendered the mixed decision on Wednesday morning.

After hearing the decision, Combs mouthed "thank you" at the jury while pumping his fist.

During raids on Combs' residences, police discovered drugs as well as 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant that the prosecutors claimed he would use in his acts. At the age of 55, Combs entered a plea of not guilty on all five charges.
