Govinda, an actor from Bollywood, had previously stated that James Cameron had approached him for the lead role in Avatar and made him a substantial offer, but that he had turned it down. Govinda was actually offered the movie, according to his wife Sunita Ahuja, who recently appeared on Uorfi Javed's YouTube channel.

Sunita responded, "Arey yaar mujhe toh nahi pata yeh kab offer hui, 40 saal toh mujhe hogaye hain Govinda ke saath. I don't know when the director and producer of Vo Avatar arrived. I'm unsure if Hui exists or not. I don't lie, and I don't take anyone's side. I don't support lies. (Oh, I'm not sure when this was given.) I've known Govinda for 40 years. I have no idea when that Avatar director-producer arrived. I'm not even sure if it really occurred. I don't tell lies or support falsehoods, and I don't choose sides.

Govinda told Mukesh Khanna in an interview on his YouTube channel in March that he turned down Avatar and that he also came up with the movie's name. I saw Rajesh Khanna ji from Maine with his left hand cut off, and I thought to myself, "Yaar accha aadmi he pata nahi kyu ajeeb sa role kar liya!" I then stated, "Avatar will be made the second time around!" He tells me, "The hero is lame!" (I had only provided the title.) I wondered why Rajesh Khanna played that role, since I had seen him. I merely anticipated the sequel). ‘Lame? Govinda!’ I exclaimed. "Hello? I'm not taking your picture!" He told me, "I'm giving you 18 crores." I responded, "I don't want your 18 crores." He said the session would last 410 days. I said, "That's fine, but I'll be in the hospital if I paint myself!"

The last time Govinda was seen was in the 2019 film Rangeela Raja, which also starred Mishika Chourasia and Anupama Agnihotri. The movie was a remake of Netrikan, but it failed miserably at the box office, bringing in just ₹18 lakh. The actor has been absent from the big screen ever since. Sam Worthington and Zoey Saldana starred in Avatar. With a box office revenue of almost $3 billion, it is the highest-grossing movie ever.
