There are rumors that Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson's fairytale love story has ended, but the break was not very pleasant. According to RadarOnline insiders, the Fifty Shades of Grey actress ended the relationship after becoming tired of the Coldplay frontman's clingy and domineering actions. Johnson is currently telling his friends that there is no going back, while Martin is said to be healing a wounded heart.

The cause of Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson's split

"Dakota loved Chris," the media source stated. He eventually became overly domineering and reliant on her, but she continues to do so nevertheless. "Living with it was suffocating and unbearable," they added. He would lose his cool if she left or didn't return his calls for any amount of time, even if they were in the same town.

The insider went on to say, "He was also a sourpuss who didn't approve of her going out with friends and liked to stay in all the time instead of having a social life."

The media outlet stated in April that Johnson's pals were worried that the publicity-shy singer was hindering her career as an actress by avoiding Hollywood filmmakers.

Dakota's friends were concerned that she might 'take him back'.

"Dakota is getting her groove back now and looking up her old friends – many of whom Chris wouldn't tolerate for one reason or another – and they're cheering this split from the rooftops and so glad to have her back," the insider told the media source.

But the actress's friends are worried about her, fearing that she may still have a soft spot for Martin and might reconcile with him. “The only worry among her friends is the possibility that she would eventually take him back,” the source said. However, Dakota maintains that it's for the best this time, mostly because she can't stand being with a man who won't let her have fundamental freedom.
