This Friday saw the theatrical release of Sekhar Kammula's Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. The movie was seen with Sekhar and fans by Dhanush and his son Linga on the first day, first show, at Chennai's Rohini Silver Screens.

Kuberaa is watched by Linga and Dhanush

On Friday morning, images and videos of Dhanush, Linga, and Sekhar appeared online. In one image, Linga is seen excitedly recording on his phone while wearing a Kuberaa T-shirt, while his father looks moved by the reaction the movie has received.

In one movie, Dhanush appears to be taken aback as admirers climb the walls in an attempt to see him and shake his hand while chanting his name. The crowd is being managed by his security, which is urging folks to get down.

In another video released by the movie's crew, Sekhar is seen smiling broadly and expressing thanks to the audience while his hands are clasped in appreciation. Following the performance, the massive throng even turned around and cheered Dhanush, and Linga seemed to be pleased of his father.

Rajinikanth's older daughter Aishwarya wed Dhanush in 2004, for the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with the details. Yatra and Linga, their boys, were born in 2006 and 2010. In 2022, the pair revealed their split, and their divorce was completed in 2024.

Concerning Kuberaa

Sekhar, who co-wrote the script alongside Chaithanya Pingali, directed the crime drama Kuberaa. The movie, which was filmed in both Tamil and Telugu at the same time, was produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations. The Tamil dialogues were written by Agoram Panneerselvam.

In Kuberaa, Dhanush portrays Deva, a beggar; Nagarjuna portrays Deepak, a disreputable CBI agent; and Jim plays Neeraj, a selfish entrepreneur. Rashmika portrays Sameera. The movie was well-received by the public, and Dhanush's acting received a lot of social media acclaim. Though Sekhar was praised for the entire narrative, many thought the movie might have been cut short.
