Deepshikha Nagpal, an actress, has appeared in a number of hit Bollywood movies, such as Shah Rukh Khan's Koyla, Baadshah, Salman Khan's Partner, and Dillagi, to name a few. Deepshikha discussed her experience working on Partner in a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble and responded to the question of whether Salman and Govinda were jealous of one another during the production.
Deepshikha Nagpal discusses her experiences collaborating with Govinda and Salman Khan
Deepshikha remembered that they didn't get the script ahead of time when they were working on Partner. Although Salman and Govinda were already familiar with their roles, director David Dhawan informed her that he required an actress who could match them. Given the film's big stars, tight deadlines, and restricted timeframe, this put a lot of strain on production.
"It was like filling in the gaps, 'You say this, I'll say that,' for me," she stated. I had to control the flow after Govinda added something in between. I would reassure them that everything was fine whenever they playfully bickered. For example, I came up with the phrase "Garam-garam chai, garam-garam nashta tayyar hai" (hot tea and hot snacks are ready). I included that sentence. Salman then said, "I'm not a piece of bread that's being smeared with butter," in response. It seemed as though everything had been rehearsed, but in reality, it was all planned on the spur of the moment. The chemistry was simply that excellent. That's one of the reasons why I like that moment so much.
Deepshikha Nagpal discloses that Govinda and Salman Khan used to train together
Deepshikha replied, "No, not at all," when asked if there was any discomfort between Salman and Govinda on the set. Govinda was treated really kindly by Salman. You see, it was Govinda's comeback. Although Govinda and Salman are both senior actors, Salman treated Govinda with the highest respect. I witnessed it personally. Salman made sure that everything necessary for Govinda ji was done. He never acted as if he were "Salman Khan." Never. They would even make an effort to exercise or run together. Salman took excellent care of him. There was no insecurity. Salman would listen to Govinda ji's advice and offer his own, and he would also give his own. It was lovely.
