Aamir allegedly told Darsheel and the others not to dwell on what they had just filmed, according to Darsheel. He'll be in charge of directing it. Amole will be the creative director on site. Amole had only been on set for two or three days before Aamir took over as director, Darsheel explained. "I was terrified of Aamir, sir," Darsheel said, contemplating his experience. He disclosed that Amole and he were friends. Gupte had seen Darsheel at Shiamak Davar's classes. He had a close bond with Amole. They are friends with his son, too. They have collaborated on a lot of mastics.

The spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par will be available on June 20, 2025. The title of the sequel is Sitaare Zameen Par. Aamir will portray a basketball coach in the sequel, which promises a change of pace from his previous role as a teacher in the original, but will maintain the movie's uplifting themes.
