Chinmayi Responds to Criticism Over Ranbir Kapoor Playing Lord Ram
5 months ago | 5 Views
About 15 years ago, Ranbir Kapoor made a statement about consuming beef that continues to draw flak for the actor. In a recent post on X (previously Twitter), a man criticized the Ramayana team for casting him as Lord Ram in the movie, dragging up his prior statement. At this point, the singer Chinmayi has offered her backing to Ranbir.
In Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor is portrayed by Chinmayi as Lord Ram.
"Beef Eater will be playing the role of Bhagavan Ram now!" one tweet said, along with a picture of Ranbir as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita from the film's production. What's the deal with Bollywood?
Chinmayi responded, "A babaji who uses the name of God can be a rapist and he can keep getting parole to get votes in bhakt India - however what someone eats is a big problem."
One individual posed the question, "How can one bad thing justify another bad thing?" "Nice," she said. Therefore, a person acting a ROLE is as 'bad' as a rapist campaigning for your votes. Ram Rahim should be your local Member of Parliament, and he should come to your home."
What did Ranbir say in 2011
During the promotion of his movie Rockstar in 2011, Ranbir said he liked eating beef. “Since my family is from Peshawar, they brought with them a great deal of Peshawari cuisine. I love mutton, paya, and beef. "Yeah, I'm a huge beef fan," he had stated.
In regards to the Ramayana
In director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Ranbir will be seen as Lord Ram. The movie also includes Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. In 2026 and 2027, the movie will be released in two installments.
The epic battle between light and dark is depicted in the Ramayana, which is based on ancient Indian mythology. The tale is based in Indian spiritual culture, but it has a worldwide perspective, with production design by the crews responsible for films like Dune and Captain America, and music by Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. The first installment of Ramayana is set to be published on Diwali 2026, with the second installment following on Diwali 2027. The movie's producer is Namit Malhotra.
