Government advisories have explicitly warned celebrities and influencers against promoting illegal betting and gambling, cautioning that engaging in such promotions holds them equally liable for participating in an illegal activity. The ongoing probe will likely set a major precedent on how seriously these endorsements are viewed under the law, potentially leading to tougher regulations and greater due diligence requirements for all public figures before they sign an endorsement deal.
