At the age of 83, Kota Srinivasa Rao, a seasoned actor and comedian, passed away on Sunday in Hyderabad from an ailment. Many famous people, including his close friend Brahmanandam, visited his Filmnagar house to show their respect. After meeting the grieving family, Brahmanandam gave a press conference where he became emotional as he recalled his buddy.
Kota Srinivasa Rao causes Brahmanandam to burst out in tears
Brahmanandam recalled a period in Tollywood when he, Kota, and Babu Mohan were cast in every film. "Kota Srinivasa Rao and I have worked together in hundreds of movies," he stated. I don't need to go into detail about how fantastic an actor he was. For ten years, Kota, Babu Mohan, and I appeared in every movie produced. We collaborated for 18 to 20 hours every day.
"Arey orey anukuntu kalisi unnam for four decades now," Brahmanandam said, still fighting back tears as he spoke about their friendship. I am unable to accept Kota's passing at this time. As long as there is performing, I think Kota will continue to exist. He would speak openly, being the son of Nataraja and a wonderful person. His passing leaves a vacuum that cannot be filled.
Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Muta Mestri, Aha Naa Pellanta, and other films featured Brahmanandam and Kota as co-stars.
On Kota Srinivasa Rao
Over the years, Kota Srinivasa Rao has appeared in Hindi and other South Indian languages, making him one of Tollywood's most prolific performers. With the 1978 movie Pranam Khareedu, he started his career and has since collaborated with several actors, such as Chiranjeevi, Krishna, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and many others. Due to his poor health, he reduced his signing of movies following the epidemic. His most recent movie, Krish and Jyothi Krisna's Hari Hara Veera Mallu with Pawan Kalyan, will be released in Telugu with Suvarna Sundari and in Kannada with Kabzaa in 2023. On July 24, the movie will be released.
