With a number of significant modifications, the much awaited Bigg Boss 19 is scheduled to debut in August 2025. Although Salman Khan will again be the face of the program, he will not be the only host this season. In accordance with Screen's updates, the next season will have a digital-first debut, a five-month run, and a changing roster of famous presenters.

Initial release on JioCinema, prioritizing digital content

The program is scheduled to broadcast live over the weekend of August 29–30. Before airing on television, Bigg Boss will debut for the first time on the JioCinema OTT platform. The streamer will release each episode before its television debut on Colors TV.

This hybrid model is a component of the show's approach to increase its online presence. "The producers are making this season as a digital-first property," sources informed Screen. This indicates that the show will be broadcast concurrently on television and OTT; but the new episodes will first debut on Jio Hotstar, and then the same episode will air on Colors TV after an hour and a half.

Only three months will be spent with Salman Khan as the host

It's anticipated that Salman will host the first three months of Bigg Boss 19, despite the fact that he will start the show. The program will then be hosted by other well-known figures like Anil Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Farah Khan.

"As in previous years, the manufacturers are planning to introduce various celebrities as special hosts. Following the conclusion of Salman's three-month run, the producers will bring in Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor to take over as hosts, the insider said. It is still up for discussion among the producers as to whether these famous presenters will appear alone or take turns every few weeks. But it is anticipated that Salman will return to present the grand finale.
