In The Accountant 2, the sequel to the 2016 movie, Ben Affleck reprises his role as Christian Wolff. The actor resumes his role as the autistic accountant who washes money for the world's worst criminals. However, Ben's persona in the movie bursts into a dance even though the world around him gets murkier and darker. In the movie, Christian suddenly starts line dancing, which is somewhat unexpected. In a recent session with a chosen group of media that HT was present at, Ben discussed the sequence.

"America doesn't expect it. America wasn't asking for it, but they're going to get it," Ben said in response to a question regarding the unforeseen dance segment.

The actor continued by saying that it was a "big swing" for his character and a fun opportunity for him to try something new. One of the enjoyable aspects of this whole thing was the notion that here was a man attempting to discover how to establish a relationship with a woman, such as how to present yourself. He isn't at ease, he doesn't know how to flirt, and he doesn't feel at ease in general.

Christian's emotions at that time were understandable, according to Ben. The actor stated, "Like so many of us, it's not easy for anyone figuring out relationships, particularly the very early part where you're trying to gauge like, 'What does this signal mean? Is this person looking at me? Do they like me? Am I going to humiliate myself if I go over there'?"

Line dancing was Ben's character's means of doing what he felt at ease doing. However, the performer was far outside his comfort zone in that location. "I had to give it a lot of myself. I doubt that my line dancing employment will place many more demands on me. I'm not sure. Not yet has the phone rang. But it was really fun," he said with a laugh, adding slyly, "Fortunately for me, it wasn't supposed to be good, at least."

Ben's co-stars expressed their astonishment at seeing that aspect of him on set. Christian's brother Braxton is portrayed by Jon Bernthal, who confessed to making fun of the performer. “This is a disaster,” he remembered saying on set, and he even jokingly asked the crew, "There's no way this is making the movie. Why are we even here?"

In addition to JK Simmons, Daniella Pineda, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson, The Accountant 2, which was directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque, features the latter two actresses. The Accountant 2 will be available on Amazon Prime Video worldwide on June 5, following a restricted release in the United States.
