Ashoke Pandit Calls Naseeruddin Shah’s Backing of Diljit Dosanjh in Sardaar Ji 3 Row a Sign of ‘Frustration’

In the midst of the debate surrounding Sardaar Ji 3 and Diljit Dosanjh's collaboration with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, Naseeruddin Shah, an actor, spoke out in support of Diljit Dosanjh. He has since removed the post from his Facebook profile in response to criticism. In the interim, Ashoke Pandit, a filmmaker and president of the Indian Film & Television Directors' Association, has criticized the seasoned actor for his remarks, claiming that he is 'frustrated.'

What Naseer said

Naseeruddin had written in the now-deleted piece, "I STAND FIRMLY WITH DILJIT." The Jumla Party's dirty tricks division has been waiting for an opportunity to assault him. They believe they have it now. The director was in charge of casting the movie; he was not. However, Diljit is well-known around the world, but nobody knows who he is, and he accepted the role because his mind is not tainted.

Ashoke Pandit's reply

Naseeruddin's statement was called out by filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who also spoke to news agency ANI. "We are neither surprised nor shocked by Naseeruddin Shah's reaction to Diljit Dosanjh's entire episode," he stated. He refers to us as the Jumla party and goons. Naseeruddin Shah's annoyance and sense of restlessness, as well as the fact that he is a senior member of the profession, are evident from the way he refers to us as "goons."

He continued by saying, "Our country comes first for us. Our reaction to the full episode, our reaction to the whole movie Sardar 3, is therefore, in our opinion, correct. Let me tell you, Naseer sir, we have already made the decision to call for a non-cooperation against Diljeet.

In the past, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) have demanded that Diljit and all of his forthcoming projects be prohibited. The response occurs after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 and India's Operation Sindoor on May 7, during which air strikes were conducted against terrorist sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
