The issue of nepotism kids has persisted in the film business for many years. Others are still under relentless scrutiny, even though some have demonstrated their skill and received critical praise. Anurag Kashyap named Ananya Panday as one of his favorite nepo kids in a recent interview with The Juggernaut, and he discussed how he thinks she has grown and developed in the business.

Anurag Kashyap discusses Ananya Panday's professional decisions.

Anurag listed Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, and Ayan Mukerji as his favorite nepotistic children when asked. "She has figured it out," he said when discussing Ananya's career trajectory. I believe Siddhant Chaturvedi stated, "our struggles end where yours begin," in an interview a long time ago, and she was quite affected by it. She changed after that because something shifted within her. She was different somehow. Following that, I spotted her in Gehraiyaan, Kho Gaye Hum Kahn, and CNTRL. She experienced a reversal within herself, and she either discovered herself or is well on her way to doing so. However, she's doing amazing things no matter what it is. She is very adult and taking chances. She tries things out. Unlike others, she is not playing it safe.

Here's Why Anurag Kashyap Thinks Ananya Panday Changed After Siddhant Chaturvedi's 'Struggle' Remark

He continued by discussing his reasons for believing that nepotistic children frequently fail: "I think the problem, more than the kids, is that the parents are not letting the kids make their own choices." The parental instincts kick in for the sake of safety: "I know better, so I'm going to protect my child and give them a successful career." That's the issue right there.

What Siddhant Chaturvedi stated

Ananya discussed how people believed she obtained everything effortlessly because her father was a star during a News18 roundtable with Rajeev Masand in 2019. "Just because I'm an actor's daughter, I'm not going to say no to an opportunity," she stated, admitting that she does not avoid being Chunky Panday's daughter. It's not as simple as individuals believe since my father has never appeared in a Dharma film and has never participated in Koffee With Karan. "I believe everyone has their own challenges."

Siddhant famously replied, "Everybody has their own struggles," in response. The sole distinction is that their struggle starts when our aspirations are realized.

Ananya, on the other hand, is now preoccupied with filming her upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera with Kartik Aaryan. The Dharma Production picture is slated for release in 2026. Dacoit, on the other hand, will star Anurag Kashyap alongside Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur. The movie will be released in theaters on December 25, 2025.
