The inaugural screening of Anupam Kher's most recent directorial Tanvi The Great took place at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, Pune, on Saturday night. Anupam posted a touching message and a video from the occasion on Instagram on Sunday morning.

Tanvi The Great is screened at NDA under the direction of Anupam Kher.

At the event, Anupam was accompanied by his co-stars Boman Irani and newcomer Shubhangi Dutt, who portrays the protagonist Tanvi Raina. More than 2,500 cadets and officers attended the premiere of the film, which they gave a standing ovation afterward.

When he sees a movie, Anupam experiences strong emotions.

Anupam referred to the video as the "most memorable moment of my life" when he posted it. The best moment of my forty-year career as an actor and entertainer has to be when Tanvi the Great received a standing ovation at the National Defense Academy! The inaugural screening of #TanviTheGreat in India took place at Khadakwasla's #NationalDefenceAcademy. He described it as a facility where young cadets are educated to become officers in our armed forces.

The actor explained how the action made all of his "hardships, heartbreaks, disappointments" completely worthwhile. "The entire #HabibullahAuditorium of the #NDA erupted in thunderous applause which for me went on for an eternity!" he wrote, "when Honourable VAdm #GurcharanSingh, Comdt, NDA, at the conclusion of the movie told cadets that can react to the movie as they wish."

"I only felt joy and thankfulness. The challenges, sorrows, trying times, disappointments, and hardships we experienced at the @anupamkherstudio were all worthwhile!," he said.

Anupam called the cheers from more than 2,500 soldiers and officers in support of his movie a "blockbuster moment." "The future of the picture is uncertain, but the present of the film last night was like the brightest sunshine! For me, it was a blockbuster moment for us when over 2500 cadets and officers of our #ArmedForces gave our #LabourOfLove #TanviTheGreat a standing ovation!”

Thank you, Admiral Singh, to all officers and their families, as well as to my cherished young cadets, for helping our #Tanvi take flight. We are both proud and humble! Jai Hind! ended his essay.

Concerning Tanvi The Great

The tale of Tanvi Raina, a young autistic woman who aspires to join the Indian Army, is told in Tanvi The Great. She resides with her mother, Vidya (played by Pallavi Joshi), and grandfather, Colonel Pratap Raina. She decides to follow in her late father Samar Raina's footsteps, who served in the military.

Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Karan Tacker, Nasser, and Iain Glen are among the cast members of the movie. Anupam Kher Studios and NFDC collaborated on its creation. The movie, which is directed by Anupam, will be available in theaters worldwide on July 18. After more than twenty years since his previous film, Om Jai Jagdish, in 2002, Anupam is back in the director's chair with this picture.
