In a recent interview, seasoned actor Anupam Kher spoke about the camaraderie and friendship that existed in Bollywood in the past, and he also mentioned a special occasion with Shah Rukh Khan where the actor declared that he was the last superstar.
Anupam, who is now promoting his forthcoming movie Tanvi The Great, spoke honestly with Siddharth Kannan about how the film industry used to depend on real relationships, long before the days of mobile phones and vanity vehicles.
According to Anupam, SRK is the last superstar
Anupam said, "Humare rishte bane hai," as he recalled a memorable incident from his talk program. We didn't have cell phones or vanity vans; what we had were genuine relationships. (Our relationships were built genuinely. We didn't have vanity vans or mobile phones. What we had were real bonds.) Shah Rukh Khan once stated "I am the last superstar" on my show, and I think what he said was true. (On my show, Shah Rukh Khan once said, "I am the last superstar," and I believe he was correct).
Anupam continued by highlighting the enduring celebrity of legends like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Their star power is eternal. In particular, Mr. Bachchan is a great illustration of a man who persevered through difficult circumstances and eventually rose to prominence, like a true giant," he added.
