On a recent IndiGo flight, Malayalam actor Antony Varghese, well known for his role in Angamaly Diaries and Jallikattu, had a "horrifying" experience. Due to a technical problem, the actor's trip from Hyderabad to Kochi last week had to be rerouted to Coimbatore, which he announced on his Instagram account.

On Instagram, Antony said that he was still "in awe" of what transpired during last week's IndiGo 6E 67070 flight from Hyderabad to Kochi. He wrote that what appeared to be a 'routine flight' became something 'straight out of a movie'.

“The weather became severe as we got closer to Kochi. The initial landing try was called off just a few feet above the runway. The second attempt was much more thrilling; the pilot made a split-second choice not to land and instead pull up when we were only feet away from touching down. She raised the plane into the air again without even cleaning the runway. "Goosebumps," he wrote.

The pilot and crew handled everything with such composure that Antony lauded them, saying, "With incredible calm and clarity, she diverted the flight to Coimbatore for refueling." People in the cabin were obviously terrified and disturbed by the tension. However, the manner in which the crew, which was entirely female, managed the situation was truly motivating.

After refuelling in Coimbatore, the aircraft ultimately touched down in Kochi. “The cabin broke out in applause as soon as the wheels touched down. To the amazing ladies in the cockpit and cabin, your prompt decision and professionalism transformed a frightening situation into a moment of profound respect and appreciation. He said, "Thank you for showing us what true grace under pressure looks like."

He received thanks from IndiGo in the comments section of his piece for recognizing that their employees perform well under pressure. In light of the recent Air India plane catastrophe that claimed 241 lives, fans also expressed their relief in the comments section of the article that Antony was secure.
