Due to Anne Hathaway's return to her role as the determined Andrea, also known as Andy Sachs. Images and films of the actor filming in New York's streets for the sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, have generated a lot of buzz.

Andy Sachs is played once again by Anne Hathaway.

Under the tutelage of Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly, Anne may have left her highly sought-after position at Runway magazine at the end of The Devil Wears Prada, but it seems she has retained the sense of style that she learned there.

In the ensemble, which included a pinstripe vest and pants with pearls, Anne was seen filming for the movie on the streets of New York after posting a photo of herself in it.

Fans even found parallels between a scene from the first film and now, as Anne was walking the streets looking busier than ever while talking on the phone. One look even saw Anne dressed in a white singlet, paired with a casual vest and blue jeans.

Anne also posted another look from the film on her Instagram, posing in front of a massive ‘2’ structure. In it, she’s dressed in a colourful and strappy maxi gown paired with a bucket hat.

Fans react

The photos and videos of Anne playing her beloved Andy while filming are apparently endlessly captivating to fans. “I’ve never been more thrilled for a film as I am right now,” one admirer exclaimed. Another remarked, “Oh yeah, the typical ‘I’m busy, running errands in the streets of NYC and taking a phone call because I’m a multitasking queen’ scene,” in reference to the scenario she was filming. Those, how much I've missed them. "Somebody queue Suddenly I See..." wrote an Instagram user, referencing the well-known song that appears in the opening scene of The Devil Wears Prada. "This is our Super Bowl," one said with a grin. Additionally, a few supporters responded with "Gird your loins!"

David Frankel is the director of The Devil Wears Prada 2, and Aline Brosh McKenna, who also wrote and directed The Devil Wears Prada, is the author. Based on Lauren Weisberger's Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, it features the return of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Tracie Thoms, Tibor Feldman, and Stanley Tucci. In May 2026, it will be available in movie theaters.
