June 1 marked the 16th anniversary of the immensely popular television series Pavitra Rishta, featuring Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput in the leading roles. Ankita commemorated this occasion by sharing a video on her YouTube channel, where she also welcomed her fellow actor Usha Nadkarni to her home. In the video, Ankita reminisced about her time on the show and how Sushant would assist her with her lines on numerous occasions.

Ankita recalls Sushant

During the vlog, Ankita expressed, “Whatever I have learned, I have learned from Pavitra Rishta. There is no doubt about it. Both the women worked together… and Sushant was such a talented actor… he helped me a lot because I would get nervous when performing in front of everyone. I would wonder how I could manage such significant scenes. He would guide me on how to deliver my lines effectively.”

Ektaa on Sushant

Ankita and Sushant portrayed a middle-class couple in the series, which was produced by Ektaa Kapoor. In the vlog, Ektaa also made an appearance and conveyed that they all deeply miss Sushant. “I am thinking of him today as we celebrate so many years of this wonderful show,” she remarked.

For those who may not know, Sushant was discovered deceased in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020. The investigation into the actor's death was ultimately concluded by the CBI in March.
