"That Was A Mistake, Please Accept My Apologies"

Anasuya chose the social media platform X to post a lengthy, heartfelt note directly addressing Raasi and taking full responsibility for her participation in the controversial sketch.

"Dear RAASI garu, My sincere apologies to you," she began. She then detailed the specific incident: "in a show I did three years ago, In a skit on not being able to speak Telugu properly, I used your name to utter a double-meaning dialogue." Anasuya expressed deep regret for not challenging the content creators at the time, citing a lack of strength to do so. She unequivocally acknowledged her error: "That was a mistake. Please accept my apologies. I can't go back and fix it now." This open admission reflects a commitment to accountability and personal growth.

Reflecting on Evolution and Change

In her apology, Anasuya also took time to contextualize the incident with her subsequent professional and personal evolution. She highlighted how her perspective has shifted over time, noting, "People change and evolve, you can see the change in me from the moment I started criticising the double entendres on that show to leaving that show."

The actress further commented on the irony of the situation, where a clip from her past is being used to fuel a "hate campaign" against her—especially now that she is vocal about important social issues. She noted that she is currently "speaking out strongly about the safety of all women today," implying that the re-circulation of the old footage attempts to undermine her current stance and work.
