On Tuesday, the 52nd anniversary of their marriage, Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan, both actors, celebrated. Amitabh posted vintage wedding pictures of the two on his blog and X account (previously Twitter). In addition, he expressed gratitude for his followers' well wishes.

On their big day, Amitabh shared wedding photos of himself and Jaya Bachchan on his blog. The couple was seen in the candid photos performing rituals and chatting. Jaya selected a red saree for their wedding, while a young Amitabh wore an ethnic white dress. "To all that wish Jaya and me for the Wedding Anniversary June 3, 2025, my gratitude and love ..." Amitabh wrote while sharing the photos.

Additionally, he said, "Another day." The actor also included a statement by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, that reads, "Anwarat samay ki chakki chalti jaati hai," which may be translated as "the wheel of time keeps turning endlessly." Amitabh said on X, "I will not be able to answer everyone individually, sorry (folded hands emoji)," thanking and showing love to those who wished him.

Concerning the Bachchan family

On June 3, 1973, Amitabh and Jaya were wed. They have two children: Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta. The entrepreneur Nikhil Nanda is Shweta's husband. They are the parents of Agastya Nanda and Navya Nanda. Abhishek married actress Aishwarya Rai. Their child is Aaradhya Bachchan.

Amitabh and Jaya collaborated on several movies, including Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Mili, and Silsila.

Taroon Coomar Bhaduri disclosed in a piece for The Illustrated Weekly in 1989 that Amitabh had formerly used Jaya's maiden name in his professional career to defend her, which Reddit published last year.

“Jaya was working on a movie after they got married, and her maiden name was billed when the posters came out,” he stated. "Why should this be?" someone asked, clearly attempting to flatter Amitabh. She should be billed as a Bachchan. Amit responded right away, "Of course, she is a Bachchan, but you should know that in the industry and professionally, she is more famous as Jaya Bhaduri."
