On Tuesday night, the Juhu Police detained Vedika Prakash Shetty, the former personal assistant to actress Alia Bhatt. It is said that Vedika stole more than ₹76 lakh from the actor and her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd, and has been charged with fraud and forgery. About five months after a complaint was lodged against the former assistant, she was taken into custody in Bengaluru.

Fraud arrest for Alia Bhatt's former PA

According to law enforcement sources, Vedika is accused of stealing cash from the production company's accounts over the course of two years by allegedly fabricating Alia's signature. She is charged with stealing a total of 76,90,892 from the finances of Eternal Sunshine and Alia's personal accounts between 2023 and 2025, according to a News 18 story. In February, Alia's mother, actress Soni Razdan, filed a lawsuit against Vedika Prakash Shetty for financial misbehavior. A probe had been ongoing, and an FIR had been filed.

According to police sources, Vedika was found in Bengaluru on Tuesday by a squad of Mumbai Police officers and taken into custody there. In order to have a complete picture, the authorities are currently examining her bank accounts and financial data. Thus far, Alia or her staff have not released a statement about the incident.
