The reunion of Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar after 17 years for Priyadarshan's forthcoming thriller, Haiwaan, has been confirmed by the filmmaker after much conjecture. The news was posted on Instagram by the director, who included a candid shot of the pair taking in the India vs. England Test match at Lord's Cricket Stadium in London.

In a stunning disclosure, Priyadarshan shared a picture of Akshay and Saif having fun while watching the India vs England Test match at London's Lord's Cricket Stadium. Saif is seen in the candid photo wearing a laid-back blue shirt and concentrating on the game, while Akshay, who is wearing a stylish beige blazer over a white shirt, seems to be in the middle of a conversation while standing next to him. "Haiwaan – my next film with @akshaykumar and Saif Ali Khan at Lord's," Priyadarshan said in the caption of the piece.

With a scheduled release in 2026, Akshay and Saif, who were last seen together in Tashan (2008), are scheduled to start filming this August. The audience was so thrilled that they couldn't hold it in and began sharing it in the comments area.

Regarding Haiwaan

According to sources, the movie is a Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Malayalam movie Oppam, which featured Mohanlal in the lead role. It is said that Akshay portrays the antagonist in the film. According to a source familiar with the production, "Akshay and Saif have always loved working together and admired each other's work. They were on board the moment they finished reading the screenplay. The film is scheduled for release in 2026 and will be available in theaters in August of this year.
